Kuala Lumpur - Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd (TNGSB) the operator of Electronic Payment System in Malaysia is proud to announce the success of the Touch ‘n Go 1Malaysia card programme, which was launched on 21 August 2009 and ongoing until 30 November 2009.

This programme was mooted by YB Dato’ Shaziman Abu Mansor, Minister of Works in conjunction with the 20% toll rebate programme as announced by YAB Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia in commemoration of his “100 hari Najib bersama rakyat”.

“The three-month programme is truly a success and it is an evidence of an excellent programme for the “rakyat” by the government,” said Hasni Zarina Mohamed Khan, Managing Director of Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Works, Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd too, has produced a special 1Malaysia card design as a show of support and dedication for the 1Malaysia programme nationwide.

According to Puan Hasni Zarina Mohamed Khan, Managing Director of TNGSB, “Since the launch, the cards are made available to users via Touch ‘n Go counters along selected highways and Touch ‘n Go hubs”, she said.

“As this is a special design card dedicated to the 1Malaysia programme, there are only 150,000 cards being produced” she added. Henceforth, the card is now deemed as a collector’s item.
“We are amazed and thrilled that the demand for the card has gone beyond expectation. This indicates that the programme received overwhelming response from the public,” she said.

Amongst the distinctive benefits of this card for the user is the preloaded value of RM10 in the card whereby the cost of the card valued at RM10 has been waived.

“We are happy and proud to have a role in promoting the 1Malaysia concept which was introduced by our Prime Minister” she concluded.
